CIHR Indigenous Mentorship Network Grant Awarded to U of S researchers

A team of 74+ researchers based out of the University of Saskatchewan was awarded a $1 million CIHR-Institute of Aboriginal Peoples' Health grant to establish a Saskatchewan based Indigenous Mentorship Network Program as one of eight IMNP network sites. Over the next 5 years we will be working with these sites to coordinate mentorship activities for students and senior scholars. We will also continuously evaluate the impacts of the program and work to adapt to student needs. This research work will help to inform institutional change so that the university is able to effectively implement the TRC's recommendations as they pertain to education and health.
