Networking Night

Wednesday, January 31st from 5-7 pm at the GSA Commons

The Indigenous Graduate Students' Council (IGSC) and the Saskatchewan Indigenous Mentorship Network Program (SK-IMNP) invite you to meet colleagues and faculty, learn networking strategies, and enjoy some snacks!

The IGSC provides events and supports for Indigenous graduate students on campus, and helps to create a sense of community among them. The Saskatchewan Indigenous Mentorship Network Program (SK-IMNP) endeavors to connect Indigenous scholars across Saskatchewan. These two groups are working together to present a community building and networking event on Wednesday, January 31st, from 5:00 – 7:00 pm in the Graduate Students’ Association (GSA, 1337 College Drive). We sincerely ask you to join us to help build our community.

Our Indigenous graduate students are spread across campus, and do not often have time to interact with our Indigenous faculty and Indigenous research community at the University of Saskatchewan. We have some of the best Indigenous scholars in Canada (and the world!) at our institution – imagine studying here for years and never meeting them! Sense of community is vital for students to succeed during their time in graduate studies, and connections made during graduate studies can last a life-time. We hope to see you there!

The purpose of this event is for Indigenous graduate students, faculty, staff, admin, and upper level undergraduate students to meet and build community; all are welcome! Wine (limited cash bar), cheese, and other goodies will be served.

Let us know you're coming on facebook!
